The main reason why Parliament believed the colonist would accept the tea act of 1773 was because in reality it was a very modest increase in cost, and people in Britain already had it.

If a message is explicit, that means that the message is obvious.
Lorico [155]
First one is false. this means that it is not appropriate.
second one is true. this means that the message is appropriate, so you would agree to any thing that has been set that is not inappropriate.

when working out you should rise and lower weights with slow, controlled motion to maximize the benefits of lifting
navik [9.2K]

This statement is true.

When working out, you should always rise and lower weights with slow and controlled motions. It is to maximize the benefits of lifting and to prevent injury.

As for the benefits: Slow lifts can build muscles much faster than regular or fast ones. Rising or lowering the lifts in a slow motion forces the muscles to hold the weight longer. The particular muscle involved in the move stays activated longer. If one goes fast on lifting for example, momentum will do a lot of work which shortens the activity of the muscles. And the more a muscles works/is activated, the bigger it grows and the more it shows on the body. The goal is to fatigue the muscles before they fail. Muscle fatigue is a very good sign in building a muscle mass as the damaged muscles instigate greater growth. Finally, lifting/lowering slowly activates the skeletal muscles, they use a lot of energy and one burns more calories while using them.

Fewer accidents happen with slow lifting/lowering as one focuses on correct form and proper execution of each move; fast, uncontrolled moves can cause many injuries.

Arnold asks his parents, "Who has the most hope?" What group of people do you believe have the most hope? Why is it so important
adell [148]

Hoping is for everyone.

Those homeless kids? They might be hoping for a meal tonight. That kid who keeps getting picked on? He's probably hoping to be left alone. That little girl who hears her parents arguing? She might be hoping that they'd just make up.

Hoping keeps people alive, in a way.

For example, when the Americans during the 1700's wanted their freedom from Britain, they started a war. They lost so many battles. If they had given up hope, then America would've still been under British rule.

If the world gave up hope when Hitler was massacring those Jews, there would be no more Jews left in the world, probably. Germany might have still been a dictatorship.

Hoping and wishing are almost the same. ALMOST. Wishing is almost always useless, face it. Who would hear and care about your wishes anyways? Wishes are for all sorts of things that we know we can't have, and that are almost always unrealistic. 'I wish I could be a millionaire.' 'I wish I could fly.' 'I wish I could eat as many pizzas as I'd like without getting full.'

Hopes are more realistic, more thoughtful, and much easier to achieve. 'I hope my mom stays alive.' 'I hope I can get this job interview.' 'I hope I can go to the park today.'

I hope this helps your answer! Good luck!
