It is estimated that about 30-40 percent of time should be spent on code-based or word work activities in first-grade language arts.

<h3>What is the first-grade language arts?</h3>

In this class, the first grader student will develop a command of standard English by understanding the spelling rules by which sounds are formed.

Also, at the end of the first grade, it is expected that a child should be able to:

  • Spell 3 & 4 letter words with short vowel sounds.
  • Identify & create contractions such as "isn't" or "wasn't" etc.

Hence, based on record, It is estimated that about 30-40 percent of time should be spent on code-based or word work activities in first-grade language arts.
