After Texas gained independence, its constitution was influenced by the Constitution of the United States.

When did Texas gain independence?

After fighting a war with Mexico, Texas eventually gained its independence in 1836.

Most of the people who fought in the war were Anglo-Texans or White Texans who had immigrated into the territory from the United States of America.

As a result, these people saw themselves more as American than anything and wanted to build a U.S. style democracy in the new nation of Texas.

The first way they did this was to model their constitution on that of the United States which is why the first Texan Constitution borrowed heavily from the U.S. Constitution.

In conclusion, the Texan constitution was inspired by the U.S. Constitution.

dusya [7]

The way that an audio recording of the given excerpt would help establish the setting of the play is; C: through the sound of a cupboard door opening

Audio Recording of a story

 • When talking about audio recording to drive home a point of a play/story, it has to be an audio that by mere listening to it is clear to most people the operation/action being carried out. For example there is a certain sound that is made when opening a book. Similarly there is a certain sound being made when singing e.t.c.

Now, in this question the most relatable sound that can be captured with an audio recording is the sound of opening a cupboard.

The excerpt is missing and it is;

Nothing here but kitchen things. (The County Attorney, after again looking around the kitchen, opens the door of a cupboard closet. He gets up on a chair and looks on a shelf. Pulls his hand away, sticky.) COUNTY ATTORNEY. Here’s a nice mess. (The women draw nearer.)

Work out the area of the parallelogram 13cm 21cm 79 degrees.
yawa3891 [41]

The area of the given parallelogram is approximately

268cm^2

Data given;

 • a = 13cm
 • b = 21cm
 • angle = 79 degrees

Area of a Parallelogram

The area of a parallelogram is the product of its two sides and the sine of the angle (if given).

So the formula of our parallelogram is

A = a.bsinx

x = angle

Substitute the values and solve.

A = 13 * 21 * sin79\\A = 267.98cm^2\\A = 268cm^2

From the calculation above, the area of the parallelogram is approximately 268cm^2

Describe the steps used to graph the equation 4x-2y=8 with an x- and y- intercepts.
hram777 [196]

Answer:

x=1/2y+2

y=2x-4

Explanation:

For x-intercept:

4x-2y=8

-> subtract -2y on both sides

4x=2y+8

-> divide 4 on both sides to isolate the x

x=1/2y+2

For y-intercept:

4x-2y=8

-> subtract 4x on both sides

-2y=-4x+8

-> divide -2 on both sides to isolate the y

y=2x-4
