Answer:

The kingdom of Israel would be divided with irreversible consequences. The northern kingdom would be known as Samaria, and the southern kingdom with its capital in Jerusalem, Judah.

It would not only be a political and social separation, but religious. The northern kingdom would absorb the religions of its neighbors by abandoning the worship of their ancestors. They would replace the temple in Jerusalem with another that would be located in Guerizim.

With the conquest and destruction at the hands of the Assyrian empire there would be a total uprooting of that land and its inhabitants. Samaria would be repopulated by different peoples and over time an evident hostility would be created between the Jews and the Samaritans.

Judah would suffer similar destruction although its inhabitants would continue with their faith in the law of Moses, the temple of Jerusalem (rebuilt by Zerubbabel) etc. Unfortunately, his departure from God Jehovah would be progressive and irreversible.
