Dogs and cats are pets and have been domesticated by the human race. However, cats tend to have a small body structure while dogs are mostly robust and larger.

Based on this, we can compare and contrast the other items as follows:

  1. Adults and children are part of the human race. However, adults have a developed body structure and reasoning, while children have these same elements in development.
  2. Cars and trucks are automobiles and run on fuel. However, cars move only a few people and a few objects while trucks can move many people and many objects.
  3. Boats and planes are objects used for locomotion. However, boats are used on the water, and planes are used in the sky.
  4. Students and teachers are professions linked to education. However, teachers are responsible for teaching and students are responsible for learning.

  9. Lakes and oceans are bodies of water. However, lakes cover small areas and do not have great depth and oceans cover large areas and have great depth.
