7. Read this passage from The Monkey's Paw." What would be the best way to write it in first person point of view without changi

ng the resolution of the story?
The knocking ceased suddenly, although the echoes of it were still in the house. He heard the chair drawn back, and the door opened. A cold wind rushed up the staircase,
and a long loud wail of disappointment and misery from his wife gave him the courage to run down to her side, and then to the gate beyond. The street lamp flickering
opposite shone on a quiet and deserted road.

I quit knocking at the door, but you could still hear the echoes. As the door opened, I heard my mother give a long wail of disappointment. My father ran down the stairs
and out to the gate, but they never saw me on the road.

The knocking ceased suddenly, but I could still hear the echoes of it. I drew the chair back and the door opened. A cold wind rushed up the staircase and I gave a long
loud wail of disappointment and misery. That gave my husband the courage to run down to my side, and then he ran out to the gate. He couldn't see anything there.

I told those people not to make the wish. I heard later that there was a knocking on the door that suddenly ceased. The old lady drew back the chair and the door
opened. My friend heard her long wail of disappointment and misery and ran down to her. Then he ran out to the gate. The street lamp shone on a quiet and deserted
road.

Answer:

In an instant, the bangs ceased, yet the echo was still audible. The door opened as I sat back in my chair. As a surge of cold air came up the steps, I let out a long, loud scream of despair and misery. As soon as I saw him, he rushed to my side and immediately fled. He could see nothing in front of him.

I told them that their desires would not be fulfilled. A few days later, I learnt that someone had been hammering on my door, but suddenly the noise quickly ceased. Her chair reclined, and the door swung wide as she pushed it open. My friend rushed down to soothe her after hearing her long and terrible scream of anguish. After that, he sped away. Empty streets were bathed in light from the streetlight.

The banging suddenly stopped, yet the echoes persisted. The door unlocked as soon as I pushed back my chair. Screaming in agony, I slammed the door shut and fell backwards down the stairs. I was so elated that my husband raced over and jumped over the gate with me. He could see nothing in front of him.

I reminded them not to put their hopes and dreams in the hands of others.

The thudding suddenly ceased, but I could still hear the echoes it left behind. I pushed the chair back, and the door swung open. As a chilly wind came up the stairs, I heard my wife let out a long cry of disappointment and despair. I rushed down to her and then out of the gate, spurred on by this. A lonesome road, lit only by a sputtering streetlamp.

Is literature an effective form of social commentary? Does it affect people and instigate awareness and change? Use examples
Zanzabum

Literature can be a very effective form of social commentary. Moreover, it can motivate people to change their social reality through an increase of awareness.

When we read a story that resembles our own reality, we are able to gain some perspective because of the distance that we put between the characters and us. It can also highlight aspects of our social situation that we had not noticed before.

A common example is Uncle Tom's Cabin, a novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe, which greatly contributed to the social condemnation of slavery. Similarly, George Orwell's novels, such as Animal Farm and 1984, have been very relevant in helping people realize the dangers of extremism and totalitarianism.

3) the correct answer is A urgent and passionate.

4) At the beginning of the poem, he says why he does not love her. He doesn't love her as if she was a salt-rose, topaz, or carnation, but he loves her as if she was a plant that does not bloom. This means that he does not love her superficially, but he loves her deeply for who she is on the inside.

Flowers are beautiful things that everyone admires, but no one would admire a flower that doesn’t bloom because they could not see the beauty that it contains.

Can someone give me 2-3 paragraphs about a pink moon?
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

Pink moon is the name for the Full moon of April. The name has nothing to do with the color it will be, but relates to the blooming of wild ground phlox, or pink moss. It is one of the earliest signs of spring, and therefore, the pink moon is also associated with the beginning of spring and summer. The name was used by Native Americans, Colonists and even the Europeans, it was also known as Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon and Fish Moon in the costal tribes. The naming of the full moons was the method of which Native Tribes kept track of the seasons.

This year the Pink Moon will occur on April 26. As this date clashes with a perigee, the Pink Moon will also be a Super moon this year. Astronomers have dubbed this rare occurrence a perigee syzygy moon. This will show the April Moon just a little bit bigger than usual, around 7 percent bigger, and approximately 15 percent brighter than normal. This is because it is at its closest point to the earth.
