I think the US shouldn't have gone to war with Mexico in 1800. First, I believe that an independent country shouldn't have its lands conquered by other countries.

Secondly, I consider that although civilizations have historically been marked by wars, these are never favorable and generate violence and the deaths of innocent people.

<h3>What was the American-Mexican War?</h3>

It was a series of conflicts that took place between the United States and Mexico in the period from 1846 to 1848. It began with the American ideals of territorial expansion in lands belonging to Mexico.

The conflict ended with the defeat of Mexican troops by the Americans, leading to the conquest of Texas, which after a period of independence, became part of the American domain.

Therefore, wars and conflicts between countries due to territorial expansion can lead to negative consequences for the lives of civilians, in addition to weakening economic relations between the countries involved.
