English

In this day in age most people are living in an ultra modern world, we are depending on electricity for our everyday lives becoming a basic necessity. We have come so adapted to this way of living if one day we did not have electricity we would become lost and have difficulty with our everyday lives.  So how would a life of an average person change? Now we can’t think life without electricity.  We may think it might be easy but we truly depend on electricity everyday.

From starting in the morning till late at night our lives would change drastically if there were no electricity for us to use. Unless you have a rooster in your backyard you might have difficulty of getting to school. Without alarm clocks or smartphones we would need to be dependent on our own internal clocks to start our day.  Once you have woken up you quickly feel a very cold chill. You than get up to look if there is any windows open but you remember that there is no heat, you than have to go outside in the -40 weather and get logs for a wood fire. Without our furnaces or air conditioning systems we would need to have wood stoves in our homes and refill them with wood every couple hours, which would take some time and energy than just touching a button to adjust the temperature. Next you go to the washroom and quickly jump in the shower because you know that you are late for school you than realize that there is no warm water. You are now running really late for school but you still haven’t had breakfast yet so you run to the refrigerator and pour some milk and pop a bagel into the toaster, you than take a sip of your milk and its warm and sour. Without electricity making breakfast would become more difficult and to make quickly, you would need to make meals in...

... middle of paper ...

...at there is no electricity so you than grab a candle and light it so you can continue your book. It is past your bedtime and you are tired, before you go to bed you refill the wood stove so you don’t wake up freezing like this morning. Before you go to bed you think about how much we use electricity on a day-to-day basis and how much we depend on it to make our lives easier.

Electricity has become a basic necessity for most people all over the world. We are depending on electricity for our everyday lives and if one day we did not have electricity we would have difficulty going through the day.  I think we need to be more dependent on things that do not use electricity and only use electricity sometimes as a treat so just in case if one day electricity all goes away we could still live comfortably and still have a great life even without it.
