The composition I have chosen is by Igor Stravinsky and is called ‘The Firebird’. The composer, Igor Stravinsky was a Russian pianist, composer, and conductor. Stravinsky’s music style differed throughout the years, these styles include neo-classism and classical. In his career, he became widely known as one of the most influential composers of the 20th century. My personal reaction about ‘The Firebird’ was that it was a gorgeous piece. The way the music begins sounds a little chaotic, but it definitely fits the piece. I also love how the music seems to tell a story, I personally imagine a very busy and fast pace bird who has an eventful life. Overall, ‘The Firebird’ by Igor Stravinsky is a wonderful composition.
