Explanation:

The inversion method takes the verb of the sentence and puts it before the subject pronoun, after the dash.

For example, <em>Es-tu</em> <em>prêt? (Are you ready?)</em>

However, when the subject pronoun starts with a vowel (i.e., <em>il, elle, </em>and <em>on)</em> we put a <em>t </em>between both words to not have two vowel sounds together, like this example.

Therefore, instead of a-il, we use a-t-il.

The sentence in inversion is <em>A-t-il besion d'un stylo?</em>
