Answer: The American Revolution was an ideological and political revolution that occurred in British America between 1765 and 1791. The Americans in thirteen Colonial legislatures were responsible for governing the local affairs of the colonies. In the 1760s, however, the British Parliament passed a myriad of laws intended to increase the role of the British metropole in ruling the American colonies and to intertwine their economies with the British economy. Colonists protested the Stamp Act of 1765, leading to a boycott of representatives from several colonies at the Stamp Act Congress to discuss the legislation. In 1767, the Townshend Acts led to a resurgence of tensions with the repeal of the Stamp Act. A British army was deployed to Boston in 1768 to quell unrest, leading to the Boston Massacre in 1770. While most of the Townshend duties were repealed in 1770, the tea tax was retained in order to symbolically assert the Constitution's right to tax colonies. The burning of the Gaspee in Rhode Island in 1772, the passage of the Tea Act of 1773 and the resulting Boston Tea Party in December 1773 led to a new escalation in tumult. A series of punitive laws were passed by the British after the colony was attacked, effectively inciting its rights to self-government after the situation of negligence. A Continental Congress was formed in late 1774 to coordinate the resistance to Britain by the other nations, which rallied behind Massachusetts. On April 19, 1775, British regulars sent to capture a cache of military supplies were confronted by local Patriot militia at Lexington and Concord, resulting in open warfare. Loyalists and Tories who supported the Crown were known as Loyalists or Tories, while Whigs and Patriots who opposed the Crown were referred to as Whigs. After the newly formed Continental Army joined the Patriot militia, British forces in Boston were besieged by land and withdrew by sea. A Provincial Congress was formed in each colony, which triade control from colonial governments, suppressed loyalty, and contributed to the Continental Army under General George Washington.

dybincka [34]

Answer:

Explanation:

Honesty encompasses a certain number of values which may include being open on cases, being truthful when giving verdict, being trustworthy when placed in charge or control of a venture, Honesty also covers keeping to one's words, hence an honest person could be said to exhibit probity and many other virtues of goodness.

However, to exhibit these virtues in such a tempting environment where honesty seems to be impracticable quality due to growing societal decay, immorality and regular injustice upholding these virtues requires a strong zeal and desire to stand with the truth nearing in mind that it will ultimately prevail.
