This is more of a debatable topic

we should be in all international affair’s and crisis. These crisis’ will affect us on not only a global level but also our economic level. An example think about how gas prices rose up and we shut down our oil Riggs for environmental reasons. we were running on imports from other nations. We were not independent as a nation; we use to be self reliant as to why gas prices around in new York was $3 per us gallon now it’s up to about $6 U.S. per gallon. If you went elsewhere they were already up to 6 dollars a gallon sometimes more but now it’s almost 10 dollars in some places which is insane !
People saw $6 at the pump and were outraged. People complained about how gas doubled in price in less than a year
Think about when the United States was in its early development it went through a period of isolation and they stopped their isolation once they saw the “iron curtain” sweeping across the globe with its red blanket. ( this was known as the Cold War )
Since then we’ve had our hands in foreign diplomatic relations and crisis intervention.
We’ve had many casualties as a result but I believe the ends justifies the means.

You can use current politics as references with the economy and how such an impact was created after we “sanctioned” the Russians.

What influence did hernan Cortez have on the region that is now modern day Mexico? Was it good or bad? Why or why not?
Lena [83]

Cortez set the basis for social, economic, ethnic, religious, political changes in what is now Mexico, which was of great benefit for the Spanish, but devastating to the local populations.

Explanation:

Hernan Cortez was a Spanish conquistador. He was sent in what is now Mexico in order to gain territory for the Spanish crown, and get as much wealth as possible. In order to do so, Cortez was merciless, and that had devastating effects on the locals.

The Spanish conquistadors massacred the local populations. They destroyed their culture, their cities, and gave their best to assimilate them. On top of that, the diseases that spread out from the Spanish killed off much of the local populations.

Cortez, and the other conquistadors, took every piece of gold and silver they were able to get their hands on, robbing the region. For the Spanish that was of great benefit though, as they became very wealthy and powerful.

Some of the people that suffered from Cortez and the other conquistadors were:

  • Aztecs
  • Zapotecs
  • Toltecs
  • Maya
  • Tlaxcala
  • Mixtec
