The root word, prefix and suffix of the word "hemoglobinopathy", respectively are:

 1. Haima
 2. Hemoglobino
 3. Pathy

What is the Root, the Prefix and the Suffix of a word?

The root of a word is that fragment of the same from which it comes according to a previous language, in the case of English, the language from which it is derived is Latin. Thus, it is identified that the word "hemo" comes from the Latin word "haima" which translates blood.

On the other hand, prefixes are those words or syllables that are used at the beginning of a compound word to give it a certain meaning or modify its translation, in this case the prefix is "hemoglobin" which refers to something that alludes to blood.

Finally, suffixes are syllables that are added to the end of a word to change its direction, in this case the suffix is "pathy" which refers to some kind of disease.

What’s the difference between an I weathered rock and a highly weathered rock
Neko [114]

weathered rock- Weathering breaks down and loosens the surface minerals of rock so they can be transported away by agents of erosion such as water, wind and ice. There are two types of weathering: mechanical and chemical. Mechanical Weathering. Mechanical weathering is the disintegration of rock into smaller and smaller fragments.

Highly weathered rock- Moderately weathered Slight discoloration extends through greater part of rock mass. The rock is not friable. Discontinuities are stained and/or contain a filling comprising altered material. Highly (or severely) weathered Weathering extends throughout rock mass and the colored material is partly friable.
