This ailment, also known as angular stomatitis and perlèche. The corners of your mouth could be anything of the following if you have angular cheilitis: bleedings, red, swollen, cracked, blistered, crusty, itchy and painful.

Other angular cheilitis signs and symptoms can include:

  • ingestion of yeast (thrush)
  • lower face rash that resembles eczema
  • redness on the mouth's palate (in denture wearers)
  • large splits in the mouth's corners from the saliva (called fissures)
