In the book, Elsie Dinsmore is known to be a rich heiress who was known also to be a devoted Christian.  Elsie features was seen as a very saintly child who was known to be separated from her parents and she was said to possess a Christ-like "aura as Eva is known to possess the Christ-like ability to be  a person who empathize with others.
