ASL actually means American Sign Language. It is known to be a natural language used for the deaf communities that are found in the United States and some part of Canada. It is a complete and organized visual language which uses manual expressions and nonmanual expressions.

ASL serves a predominant sign language specifically for the deaf communities in the United States.
