<h3>Who was Fredrick Douglass?</h3>

He was an African American abolitionist who campaigned against slavery after he escaped from slavery in the South.

He was one of the most ardent speakers and lecturers when he was part of the American Anti-Slavery Society where he often spoke.

Apart from being a known speaker against the horrors of slavery, Frederick Douglass was also a writer who wrote works on his journey and his stance of slavery.

What made this even more remarkable is that Frederick Douglass had basically taught himself how to read and write with just a little guidance.
