If one wants to make a friend of any of the symbols in Jane Eyre, the character would be Jane Eyre. The explanation is because Jane Eyre is intelligent, honest and maintains her principle of justice.

What is Jane Eyre famous for?

Jane Eyre is a Bildungsroman which follows the adventures of its eponymous heroine, including her transition to adulthood and her passion for Mr Rochester, the brooding master of Thornfield Hall.

How would you describe Jane Eyre?

From the start of the novel, Brontë portrays Jane as a strong-willed, emotional and outspoken young girl. Jane regularly speaks out against the harsh treatment of her cousin, John and her aunt, Mrs Reed. This results in Jane becoming remote and alienated in the house, as she takes her punishments alone.

Personification is when the writer wants to make a comparison using like or as.
Zolol [24]
Personification is when you give human characteristics to nonhuman's.
eg. The wind screamed in my ears. The ocean waved at me. the night was creeping closer and closer.

A simile uses "like" or "as" to make a comparison.
eg. The floor was as cold as a freezer. I had a huge gap in my arm like a canyon. My hear sunk like a brick.
Your answer is B. False

Read this passage:
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

Explanation:

There is a whole lot going on in this scene, but I think there are 2 things you should keep in mind:

  • The power is shifting. Macbeth no longer needs Lady Macbeth to goad him on. He is hiding from her a key piece of this thinking. The first lines of the speech tell you that. Be innocent of the knowledge, Till thou (can) applaud the deed. He is planning the murder of Banquo and he really doesn't want her input. He is telling her that she must wait till the murder is done and then what he has been doing will be apparent. Everybody comments on those lines because it is a foreshadow of many things to come. One of the most obvious is Lady Macbeth's madness.
  • The rest of the speech has to do with his walk in the path of evil. He prefers night to day, because all is hidden by night.
