Discuss in paragraph form the rhetorical presentations of the cartoons.  What are the mini-narrative, the main claim, the use of

caricature, exaggeration, and/or distortion in each?  What logical fallacies exist in the cartoon?  How is kairos, or timeliness, important to each cartoon? And my political cartoons is about the negative and positive about DACA.

The analysis of the given cartoon based on the mini-narrative, the main claim, the use of caricature, exaggeration, and/or distortion in each is given below:

  • The man discredits everything the woman said and picked on her last sentence to tag her an illegal
  • There is the clear use of exaggeration to denote that because she came to America as a child, she did so illegally
  • Based on the words of the woman, she classifies herself with only good qualities which shows her obvious bias in trying to pose as a model citizen.

<h3>What is a Cartoon?</h3>

This refers to the use of drawings to show or send a powerful message about a societal issue or political issue with the use of exaggerations, irony, sarcasm, etc.

Hence, we can see that the logical fallacy that is used here is the fallacy of hasty generalization that is used by the man to refer to the woman as an illegal immigrant to America.
