All loose Greek men were allowed to participate, from farmhands to royal heirs, despite the fact that the majority of Olympians were squaddies.

Throughout the authentic Olympic games in historical Greece, champions were not awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals as they're these days. rather, historic Olympic victors were awarded an olive branch twisted into a circle to shape a crown.

At historic Greek sports activities fairs, it was the custom to present ribbons to prevailing athletes. Later, at the awards ceremony, the athlete obtained a wreath of leaves inclusive of olive, laurel or wild celery leaves, depending on the competition. The identity of the athlete and the event he received are not regarded.

Describe how Nina Simone became interested in playing the piano
ch4aika [34]

Everything Nina Simone done as a child involved music.  Everyone in her family played music.  There never was formal training, they all learned to play music like they all learnt to walk, it came natural for them.  When Nina was six she became the pianist for their church.  She had the greatest gift.  Her parents thought she would benefit from formal training with a piano teacher.  Even though they could not afford the lessons her mother went to work for a piano teacher to get Nina the lessons she needed.  Being inspired Nina wanted to be the African American concert pianist.  She earned a 1 year scholarship at the Juilliard School of Music. Then her career just got bigger from there.

Think about what you know about the Espionage and Sedition Acts. Now apply that to some real-world situations. Check any action
leva [86]
The following statements would result in the application of the Espionage and Sedition Acts:

1) A person says that the government made a mistake by getting involved in the war.

2) A speaker suggests that people should stop work to protest the war.

3) A labor union holds a strike at a munitions factory.

Both of these statements would result in punishments according to the Espionage and Sedition Acts (passed in 1918, during World War I). These acts made any speech that was considered critical of the government or disloyal to the US illegal. Along with this, anyone who interfered with the war effort could be punished. This is why the statements above would be real world situations of the Espionage and Sedition Acts.
