Logos is the appeal to the listener's ability to reason through statistics, facts, and expert testimony to make a conclusion.

The term Logos is originated from the Greek term for “word,” and is a direct ancestor of the English term "logic."

The tools for logos are data, statistics, facts, figures, and common sense which is used to convince the audience. It relies completely on the strength of the argument, regardless of the emotions felt by the audience or the expertise of the speaker. An argument with logos should be able to stand up by itself.

Logos can be use effectively, start it with common speech that everyone could easily understand. If the topic is complex, then switch the complexed terms with its simpler form so that the audience could get it and relate to it in one or another way. A method which one can use with logos is the syllogism.
