The Pa. Fish and Boat Commission wants acid rain gases reduced by 40%

What is Acid Rain?

Acid rain is formed by the precipitation of acid in the form of rain due to reaction of two atmospheric pollutants like oxides of nitrogen and Sulphur with rainwater.

The deposition of acids can occur either wet and dry way.

In wet deposition the precipitation removes acids from the atmosphere and place them on earth surface.

In dry method the deposition of gases and pollutants in the form of dust and smoke.

Man-made cause is the emission of gases from industries or by natural way like lightning which release nitrogen oxides and volcanic eruptions release Sulphur oxide.

The pH value of acid rain is around 5.7.

"an average human has a heart rate of 70 beats per minute. if someone's heart beats at that average rate over a 70-yr lifetime,
olya-2409 [2.1K]
Given that an average human has a heart rate of 70 beats per minute and if one is to have a 70 year life span, the number of times it will beat is 2,575,440,000 times. This was computed by multiply 70 years by 365 days/year x 24 hours/day x 60 minutes/hour x 70 beats/min. Thus, the heart will beat numerous times before it finally stops.
