Judges require federal court judges to ACT AS JUDICIAL "GATEKEEPERS" BY BARRING EXPERT TESTIMONY UNLESS IT IS BOTH RELEVANT AND RELIABLE. This was argued when they have prohibited the admissibility of expert testimony regarding the accuracy of eyewitness testimony.

More about expert testimony:

Understanding the distinctive role that experts and their testimony play in the legal system is essential before analyzing the specifics of court rulings regarding expert admissibility.

Experts can provide explanations for events that they have not personally witnessed. Ordinary witnesses, on the other hand, are typically limited to incidents they have personally witnessed.

Furthermore, experts are permitted and called upon to provide opinions to courts about a wide range of topics based on their expertise, experience, or research, but regular witnesses are only authorized to provide factual testimony.

Eq-9 if another boat signals their intention to pass you from astern, what should you do?
andrezito [222]
It depends on which side they intend to pass on you. They should give you an audible horn blast to let you know that they want to pass you on. When passing on the starboard, they indicate one blast. For tow blasts, it indicates passing on the port. Note that you have to return the audible blast or audible horn signal in order for them to know that you have heard their signal and aware of their intentions.

Why do you think the west coast was settled before the interior of the United States?
grin007 [14]
The west coast is easier to access, seen as it is right beside water. The water also makes it easier to transport goods, irrigate crops, and clean clothes/utensils. The interior is harder to get at because you would either have to use many materials building wagons, or travelling for much too long on foot or horseback.
