Yes you can but you need to explain who and what your random sample is. and if you are making predictions it needs to be within the extrapolation of the data but thats collage level.
They can share 0.6 segment each or they can divide it in different amounts (2 persons will get 0.4 of a segment and the other 3 persons will get 0.73 of a segment). This solution is valid only if they don't have to share it equally. (It is not specified in the question).
