What makes Kennedy stand out over Nixon?

English
1 answer:

What made Kennedy stand out was his use of a striking black suit.

Why was Kennedy's outfit important?

 • Because he gave an air of authority to the public.
 • Because it made his image more striking and expressive than Nixon's.
 • Because it attracts the attention of the public.

The question is referring to the debate held between Nixon and Kennedy during the presidential race in 1960. The debate was televised and photographed, allowing the entire American population to see and hear the two candidates. However, color media was not popular at the time and people viewed the debate and its participants in black and white.

This was advantageous for Kennedy who wore a black suit, while Nixon wore a gray suit. This made Kennedy's image stand out and catch the public's attention more effectively.

77julia77 [94]

Answer:

Naomi was a wealthy lady who lived in the land of Israel with her family. one year the harvest was bad and everyone came to Naomi's husband for money and food. ( Some say her husband wanted the people to pray for rain instead of just relying on charity.) Not wanting to give food the family packed up and moved to Moab. There his two sons married the two princesses of Moab. One married Orpah and the other Ruth. However, God wasn't happy the family left Israel and Ruth's husband died. After that the family fell into a downward spiral first they lost their animals, then land. then money, until finally the sons lost their lives. How does an author incorperate imagery in a story
Alika [10]
An author can use descriptive words to have their readers visualize what they are trying to portray. For instance, by saying, "Tom ate a red apple." Your mind subconsciously sees someone eating a red apple. However, usually the author will be more subtle. In "To Kill A Mockingbird", the character 'Boo Radleys' home was described as have "rain rotted shutters", "off white", and "low, sinking to the ground with it's old age." This description shows you what his home was like, and creates an atmosphere of suspicion and maybe even fear.
