  • Completed 16 million people had died by the period when the war was completed and the Allied Armies declared victory, including both troops and civilians.
  • It was referred to as "The Great War," a dreadful land, air, and sea combat that claimed the lives of over 6.6 million civilians in addition to nearly 8 million military troops.
