Chemoreceptors are most likely to be activated by a change of receptor position.

Chemoreceptors are sensory receptors that are found in the peripheral and the nervous system. The purpose of the Chemoreceptors is to detect environmental changes.

They generate biological signals or an impulse transmitted by neurons to the brain. The chemoreceptors that are in the medulla oblongata are responsible for the detection of changes in oxygen and carbon in the blood.

These signals are sent to the central nervous system so that the body responses to it. chemoreceptor can be a neuron, taste receptors, or internal peripheral chemoreceptor.

Which of the following groups would be most likely to exhibit uniform dispersion?
serg [7]

Answer:

C) dwarf mistletoes, which parasitize particular species of forest tree

Explanation:

Uniform dispersion is observed in plant species that inhibit the growth of nearby individuals. For example, the sage plant, salvia leucophylla, secretes toxins, a phenomenon called negative allelopathy. Animals that maintain defined territories, such as nesting penguins, also exhibit uniform dispersion.

In lodgepole pine stands, spread of dwarf mistletoe into young trees is more extensive from single, isolated residual trees than from relatively uniform, dense, even-aged stands of residual trees.
