Spending wisely takes some time because spending mindlessly needs zero time, but still one can have a responsible attitude to spending without taking too much time. It does not increase stress; on the other hand, it gives a joy that you are being responsible with your money. Also, credit cards are not great for tracking your money and thus spending wisely does not involve buying through credit cards; the method of purchase is irrelevant, as long as you keep track of your budget. The correct answer is that it helps you have control over your finances. It gives you more power to program and you can use the rest of the money in investements, funds, retiring etc.
