The Articles of Confederation created a confederation in the United States. A confederation is a government in which the state government, not national, have dominant power. The leaders of the new nation feared that a strong, centralized government would lead to tyrannical monarchy like the British government.

Answer:

The Articles of Confederation, created by Congress in 1777 and ratified as the forerunner to the U.S Constitution in 1781, established the legislative branch, in the hands of Congress, as the main government structure, given that it was the one where people were represented. For the main part, the executive branch, per se, was not yet established as it is known today, and it was very weak. Most of the decisive power was still in the hands of the states.

However, it must be said that originally, this Congress was not given either the powers, or functions that it has today, or that it had after the Articles of Confederation were changed into the U.S Constitution, later on. This Congress was the body that represented the nation in the central government, but it was more of a place where the different states exerted their power.

What was the primary body of water used for travel and trade in the Hellenistic era
Nataly [62]

The correct answer is - Mediterranean Sea.

During the Hellenistic era, the most important and busiest body of water was the Mediterranean Sea. This was due to the location of it, because it was a sea on which shores where the biggest and greatest civilizations at the time.

The civilizations in the Mediterranean region were all using it for multiple purposes, trading, military actions, exploration, fishing, for communication... This led to an extensive usage of the sea from a very early point in the human history, and that has continued over the centuries.
