Growth hormones are secreted and controlled by the Neuroendocrine reflexes, whereas, Insulin secretion is controlled by negative feedback mechanisms.

The Growth hormones is being controlled by, two types of Neuroendocrine systems as;

 • The Growth hormone releasing hormone, (GHRH) neurons and
 • The somatostatin neurons, is responsible for stimulation and inhibition of GH secretion.

Negative Feedback mechanisms, these occurs whenever the original effect of the stimulus is reduced by the output. These are responsible for, normalizing events, whenever the environment becomes extreme.

For example; insulin, and the thyroid gland is also regulated by these mechanisms.
