Answer:

A.People will probably always have conflicts over who is in power.

Explanation:

The passage illustrates an extreme situation which has forced human beings to live on scarce means: seafood and little fuel. There is nothing but water in this imaginary world. However, human beings will never give up their thirst for power. In this imaginary world, people can possess very little but that very little is enough to exercise power. Producing fresh water is one asset that will give a few a lot of power because this is needed to survive. These people use this to exercise power ; they do not share it with the others.

I would say the main idea would be D.Even if all other resources are eliminated, humans can survive on seafood and water

The answer choice A can also be valid if it talked more about those who can produce fresh water and what other things people can do that others can not that can make them more superior.

Gnoma [55]
Start of by writing 7x+1=50. Subtract 1 from both sides. You will get 50-1=49. Then you have 7x=49. Divide 7 on both sides. 7x/7. 49/7=7. X=7. Therefore x=7. Check your answer by plugging 7 into x. 7(7)=49+1=50. The answer checks out!
