Hello to everyone in this group. I'll share my opinions on the topic "Education is the Key to Women's Empowerment." In Africa, there is a proverb that goes, "Educating a man educates an individual, but educating a woman educates a lady." In view of the aforementioned axiom, educating women is the greatest and wisest course of action a country could take to empower itself.

Many countries on the continents of Africa, Asia, and South America are still battling backwardness in our large, wide world. In developing nations, issues like hunger, poverty, unemployment, low standards of life, inadequate healthcare, inadequate education, etc. continue to exist. The only solution to Women's Empowerment is to educate and empower women.

A well-educated woman will have the ability to realize her aspirations. Only an educated woman is capable of supporting herself and being truly free. She will not only benefit from her education, but she will also inspire others to pursue education. She will impart knowledge to her siblings, neighbors, and other adults; this will have a good knock-on effect that will improve her skills and raise the likelihood that she will be hired by reputable businesses. Additionally, an educated mother guarantees the other family members' education. In addition, the best investment is in a woman's education.

Maurinko [17]

Many people don't have a photo identification. Requiring people to show a photo identification to vote would keep those without this type of identification from voting. Those who often don't have identification include elderly individuals who no longer drive and citizens living in high poverty areas where transportation is limited. They would be denied the chance to vote. Sociologist Mark Abernathy writes, "requiring photo identification in order to vote essentially eliminates a whole population of American voters. These voters are part of society, but they are denied a basic right guaranteed to all Americans over the age of eighteen. Elections are then determined by only a smallportion of the population, not the entire population" (page 820 of the article "Photo Identification Disenfranchisement"). Some people think this is not true. Ria Olberson, an economist at Alabaster University, states, "Few Americans are without drivers' licenses. Even if the license is expired or revoked, it still counts as photo identification. To claim that requiring identification disenfranchises a segment of the American population is simply inaccurate" (page 101). Olberson is just wrong! A lot of people don't have licenses because they either don't need them or they don't want them. Consider people living in major cities. They have no reason to get driver's licenses: public transportation. This extremely large group of people would be forced to obtain driver's licenses to participate in a process that they are guaranteed as citizens of the United States

Complete the sentence with an appropriate INTENSIVE PRONOUN. Diana found the story difficult to believe
ivanzaharov [21]

This question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Complete the sentence with an appropriate intensive pronouns.

Diana found the story difficult to believe______________.

A. she

B. itself

C. herself

Answer:

Diana found the story difficult to believe herself.

Explanation:

Intensive pronouns are used to emphasize the nouns they refer to. We need to be careful because intensive pronouns and reflexive pronouns are actually the same - myself, yourself, himself, etc. It is the use in context that differs.

In the sentence we are supposed to complete, we need to choose the appropriate intensive pronoun among the options. Since "she" is a subject pronoun, we can already eliminate it. If we use "itself", we will be emphasizing "story". However, the person who has difficulty believing the story is Diana. She is the one who should be emphasized. Therefore, we can eliminate "itself" and safely choose "herself".

Diana found the story difficult to believe herself.
