The text allows us to understand that with adulthood Chow improves her understanding of grief and the lack she feels after the death of her mother.

How is Chow's relationship with his mother's death?

 • During childhood and adolescence, Chow had an intense and violent relationship with the death of her mother.
 • During childhood and adolescence, Chow missed her mother a lot and rejected those who tried to prevent her feelings, such as her father.
 • As she came of age, Chow understood more about her feelings and how she missed her mother.
 • As she came of age, she understood that grief over her mother's death would always accompany her and that it would be hard to bear from time to time, but that her life must go on.

This understanding of Chow is stimulated by how she acts with the shoes, that was her mother's, and that she received from her father. These shoes accompany her for the rest of her life and help her understand her feelings about her mother's death and grief.

This question is about the story "In my mom's shoes."

The best example I can think of Bush (former president of the U.S) proclaimed after 9/11 that you (who would be watching his speech) are either with us or against us. Either, you are for America or you like terrorism. To avoid it, think about it first then relate it to you, believe whatever you want. While I was young when this was happening, now I proclaim that I agree with neither. I know how horrible it was but I don't believe in going to war for it.
