The red blood cells are cohesive, meaning they want to stick together. if one cell moves along the capillary this cohesion will drag the neighboring cell with it. the cells are also adhesive to the capillary walls, so they stick along the tube lining as they are dragged through the capillary.

Explanation:

In females, finite number of oocytes are present since birth. The process of oogenesis initiate in embryonic stage only. However, oogonia divide and mature to form primary oocytes. These primary oocytes start meiotic division but arrest in prophase I stage before birth.

After a girl attains puberty, one primary oocyte resumes its division each month during a menstrual cycle. The primary oocyte divides to form secondary oocyte and polar body.

Polar bodies degenerate after completing meiosis II. However, secondary oocyte halts its division again at metaphase II until fertilization takes place. Once fertilization takes place it completes its meiosis II and results into mature ovum and polar body.

When the concentration o molecules inside a cell is different form the concentration of molecules outside a cell, we can either call it hypertonic or a hypotonic solution, and the difference between the two concentrations is called a concentration gradient.

Hypertonic - name given to a solution that has a bigger concentration than the concentration in a cell.

Hypotonic - name give nto a solution that has a smaller concentration than the concentration in a cell.
