One of the most important factors that affect culture is Geography. It shapes how cultures interact with each other, what they need for food( based on the type of plants and animal prevalent in that area) shelter ( based on the natural or artificial raw materials which can be used for shelter) and clothing( based on the availability or materials for cloth making) and how they choose to express themselves.

Effect of Geography on Tropical African Culture

The geography of tropical Africa has influenced the way people who live the the tropical regions exist. For instance, we eat a variety of food based on the seasons of the year. Corn is mostly eaten during the rainy season because of its availability during this period.

Also the mode of dressing differs according to the season. The weather is generally cold during the rainy season and the harmattan periods.

These Harmattan season is caused by the influx of the North easterly trade winds which is characterized by cold and dry air.

The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act was supposed to protect America’s businesses by raising taxes on imported goods..
Oduvanchick [21]
This is true.

It backfired however since it not only ruined importing but exporting as well since people made their own tariffs then in other countries. This was the second highest set of tariffs in United States history and in actuality it just made the great depression worse than it was previously because it almost ruined the economy.
