In the face of the Great Depression and World War II, Franklin D. Roosevelt, nicknamed "FDR," led America through its greatest domestic political crisis and its greatest external crisis outside the Civil War. rice field. His 12-year presidency was unprecedented not only in length but also in scope. Roosevelt came into office at a time when the country was in a terrible and debilitating economic crisis that not only robbed it of material wealth and spiritual strength but also overshadowed its future. Roosevelt's combination of self-confidence, optimism, and political savvy all came together in the New Deal's experimental economic and social programs that helped herald the beginning of the nation's recovery.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born in 1882 in Hyde Park, New York, to James and Sarah Roosevelt. James Roosevelt was a landowner and businessman with a sizeable fortune, but he was not overwhelming. FDR grew up under the close watch of a devoted mother and numerous nannies for her only child. When Franklin was 14, his parents sent him to Groton School, a prestigious boarding school in Massachusetts. At Groton, FDR fell in love with his distant cousin and rising Republican, Theodore Roosevelt. FDR attended Harvard College and spent more time on the college newspaper than on research. While at Harvard, Roosevelt apparently declared himself a Democrat and began courting his distant cousin Eleanor Roosevelt. It really started when I was elected governor. The stock market crash of October 1929 ushered in tough times and prompted Governor Roosevelt to focus on tackling the state's economic woes. FDR established himself as a liberal reformer with a series of innovative relief and recovery initiatives, including unemployment insurance, pensions for the elderly, working hours restrictions, and large public works projects.

Read the passage from Animal Farm.
just olya [345]

George Orwell wrote Animal Farm as an allegory about the evils of the Russian Revolution. The universal message of George Orwell's "Animal Farm" is that all violent revolutions which aim to and initially succeed in overthrowing repressive totalitarian regimes, after a brief idealistic period rapidly deteriorate into totalitarian and repressive

regimes themselves. There are three specific tactics of propaganda devices which are fear, deceit, and isolationism. According to this passage, the best option that highlights the allegory for totalitarian propaganda is the fourth option: “The animals do not complain about pigs in power breaking rules.”
