This sentence is not true as cultural bias is the exact opposite of ethnocentrism. The idea that one's own culture or race is superior to others is known as ethnocentrism. It manifests itself when people criticize the speech, actions, religion, and customs of others.

By adopting one's own culture as the standard by which to evaluate other cultures, ethnocentrism breeds prejudice. People who are ethnocentric will think that the beliefs, ideas, values, and practices of their own culture are correct, and they will judge other ethnic groups by the criteria of their own culture.

In particular, ethnocentrism in research may have detrimental effects if the research's source materials are created with a particular culture in mind. When ethnocentrism is not taken into account in study, it might reinforce already-existing prejudice and prevent other cultures from having equal access to opportunities.
