Islands such as tobago and mauritius successfully preserved natural areas in the 1700s, as scientists from colonizing nations understood their importance to environmental health.

The island and ward of Tobago are both located in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (/tbeo/). It is situated about 160 kilometres (99 miles) off the northeastern coast of Venezuela, 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Trinidad, a larger island. Additionally, it is southeast of Grenada. The cocrico is Tobago's national bird. In the first century of the Common Era, Saladoid people settled in Tobago. They brought with them pottery-making and agricultural traditions, and are likely to have introduced crops such as cassava, sweet potatoes, Indian yam, tannia, and corn. Tobago was first inhabited by indigenous people belonging to the Ortoiroid cultural tradition between 3500 and 1000 BCE.: 21–24

suter [353]
A sociological perspective that would argue that the U.S family contribute to social injustice and denies women opportunities that are commonly extended to men would be feminists because they’d believe that the ‘system’ is created for women to fulfil their ‘ideal’ roles (housewives etc.) and not do ‘male-dominated’ careers like physics and mathematics etc.
