8 0

The distance between the two coordinate above is: 5.656854. This is approximately 5.66. Where (X1, Y1) = (6, -6); and (X2, Y2) = (2, -2).

What is the distance between two points?

The length of the line segment connecting two places is defined as the distance between them.

The length of the line segment connecting the specified coordinates can be used to compute the distance between two locations in coordinate geometry.

What is the calculation justifying the above answer?

The distance Equation Solution is given as follows:

d = √ [(2-6)² + (-2 - (-6))²]

d = √[(-4)² + (4)²]

d= √(16 + 16)

d = √32

$\approx$ 5.66

Consider a sample of water from a stream found to have an initial DO of 10.0 mg/L. It is placed directly into a BOD bottle and i
Leokris [45]

Answer:

The BOD5 for this sample is 5 mg/L

Explanation:

The BOD5 takes into consideration the difference between the initial DO and the final DO divided by the fraction of the sample tested in a 300 mL BOD flask. The problem states that the sample was directly placed in a BOD bottle so we assume that the volume used was 300 mL of the water sample. The fraction of water is 1 (300/300).

BOD5=\frac{DOi-DOf}{fraction}

BOD5 = (10-5)/1

BOD 5 = 5 mg/L

Where would you be most likely to find a freshet?
valentinak56 [21]

The freshet is basically a flood that occurs because of heavy rainfall or because of the melting of a snow.

This type of flooding is most common in the valleys of the larger rivers, especially the ones that start their flow high in the mountains.

The large rivers have much more water, and they also have lot of tributaries, so when there's a heavy rainfall they receive enormous amounts of water, which easily causes a flood.

Also, when the snow melts, lot of water is released from it, and most of that water gets into the river, or first in its tributaries and that in it, so there's a high possibility of a big flood occurring suddenly.

Considering what you have learned about the coriolis effect, briefly describe the coriolis effect on the atmosphere of the plane
BigorU [14]

Answer:

In simple words, The Coriolis Force on Venus is exceedingly mild due to all the planet's sluggish rotation. The Coriolis Influence on the movement of the Earth 's atmospheric is extremely significant, generating continent-sized swirling of cloud formations that are readily visible from space when the Earth rotates on its axis roughly once every 24 hours.
