Read the excerpt from James Madison’s notes on the Constitutional Convention from July 7, 1787. Mr. SHERMAN Supposed that it was

the wish of every one that some Genl. Govt. should be established. An equal vote in the [Senate] would, he thought, be most likely to give it the necessary vigor. The small States have more vigor in their Govts. than the large ones, the more influence therefore the large ones have, the weaker will be the Govt. In the large States it will be most difficult to collect the real & fair sense of the people. Fallacy & undue influence will be practiced with most success: and improper men will most easily get into office. Which statement best represents Roger Sherman’s argument in favor of equal representation in the Senate? Small states are easier to manage politically, while large states are more likely to be corrupt. Large states are ruled more democratically, while small states are more likely to be corrupt. Small states hold elections more often than large states, while large states appoint representatives. Large states hold elections more often than small states, while small states appoint representatives.

Roger Sherman's argument in favor of equal representation in the Senate could be justified because he believed that Small states are easier to manage politically, while large states are more likely to be corrupt.

What was Roger Sherman's argument?

Roger Sherman was from the small state of Connecticut which meant that equal representation would favor his state in the Senate and so he argued vigorously for it.

His main logic was the fact that because small states were small, they were easier to manage when it came to political leadership which meant that they would show a lot of vigor in governance. This would be unlike large states which have so many things going on that they are more likely to be corrupt.

how was the roman empire able to pass down the significant number of ideas and technologies that it did
vlabodo [156]

Explanation:

The Roman empire was one of thr bigest empires ever, so what does it mean? It means that they occupied a large part of territory. They occupied a lot of countries, nations. So those nations accepted their culture, their philosophy and perspective. Romans were one of the best intelectual empires at the time, with academies, and schools. So all of their ideas at the time was part of their schooling and other nations that accepted their culture were learned like that, so when they decided to go to their mainland they just pass those knowledge to the people. After all, all nations that were occupied as time goes by defended themselves and gained their freedom. You can change nations, etnics, country and everything but ideas will always remain the same and they we'll spread. Sorry for some mistakes, my english ain't perfect.
