Once upon a time, there were two doves who were married. When the wife became ill, the male went to get food on that particular day. A hunter apprehended him and placed him in a cage. His wife, on the other hand, was waiting for him. When the sun set over the hills, the hunter arrived and sat beneath the tree where the two doves were living. The hunter was also ravenous. The female dove noticed her husband and attempted to converse with him. When she got close to him, he told her that the hunter was our guest and that he was very hungry, so please give him something to eat. The female dove entered the nest, but there was nothing to offer. So she gathered some twigs and set them on fire. The hunter, on the other hand, was looking everywhere but remaining silent. Then she told the hunter, "You are our guest, and I am going to jump in the fire after a while, and you can eat me." When the hunter saw all of this, tears welled up in his eyes. He released the dove and left.

Both doves have lived happily ever after since.

Once upon a time, there were two married doves. When the woman felt ill, the guy went out to obtain food that day. He was arrested by a hunter and placed in a cage. The female dove entered the nest but found nothing to eat. So she picked some twigs and set fire to them. The hunter, on the other hand, was glancing about but not saying anything. Then she told the hunter, "You are our guest, and I am going to jump in the fire after a bit, and you can eat me." The hunter's eyes welled up when he saw all of this. He let go of the dove and walked away.

Since then, both doves have lived happily ever after.

Which sentence contains a dangling modifier? Whistling a happy tune, Marti walked slowly to school. While playing my electric gu
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

While playing my electric guitar, the amplifier went dead

Explanation:

The sentence that contains a dangling modifier is option B because

A dangling modifier is a word that modifies a word that is not clearly stated in the sentence. It usually does not have a subject and is most times a participle.

From the sentence, "While playing my electric guitar, the amplifier went dead", it does not clearly state what it is modifying, hence one can erroneously believe that the amplifier was playing the guitar which is irrational.

The sentence can be properly revised and rewritten so the word that is modified is clearly stated, ""While I was playing my electric guitar, the amplifier went dead".
