Emily Brent reads a text from her childhood to Vera Claythrone, "be sure thy sin will find thee out. "

Mrs. Brent thinks that they are being punished for their sins as they all committed murder.

Vera is horrified after her conversation with Mrs. Brent. She was shocked to hear about her views.

For Mrs. Brent Beatrice was a sinner who had a child out of wedlock hence she needs to be punished. Mrs. Brent is unapologetically a staunch religious lady so she doesn't feel any sympathy towards Beatrice.

The above Characters are from Agatha Christie's Classic Mystery Novel "And There Were None".
