Emily Brent recites a nursery rhyme to Vera Claythorne, "be sure thy guilt will find thee out." This poem exposes her beliefs in that she believes they are all being punished for their acts because they all committed murder.

What is vera’s response to miss brent?

This narrative horrifies Vera, but Miss Brent feels no shame or sorrow. She claims that if Beatrice had acted like a "good modest young woman," none of this would have occurred. Vera is much more terrified now.

Vera and Brent are characters in which story?

Both Vera and Emily Brent are characters in the story "And There Were None" Agatha Christie.

Emily Brent, a 65-year-old lady in Agatha Christie's novel And Then There Were None, is stricken with such 'religious madness' that she has lost her sense of sympathy.

Rewrite this paragraph by adding each of the following three transitional elements to the beginning of the appropriate sentence:

History is by far my favorite subject in school. It is challenging learning new information. So, the challenge is well worth it for several reasons. First, it's great to learn about inspirational figures from the past. Today we learned about Abraham Lincoln, who guided America through the Civil War. Second, I get to see how the past has influenced our lives today. Therefore history helps us all learn to not make the same mistakes that were made in the past. Lastly history helps us grow and learn. There are just three of the reasons I can't wait for for history class.

How does Rand develop the theme that individuals who are free to think on their own can make the greatest discoveries?
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

The novella “Anthem” is set in a Dystopian world where technology, scientific development, education, and equality were under the control of totalitarian leaders. This type of society came into existence after the Great Rebirth when a great war was fought. The land of Anthem seems primitive and distant from our world which equates much with a mythical fantasy land. Ann Rand wrote this novella to give a picture of the future which we would most probably be witnessing. She has tried to highlight the ills in the society which the future is carrying for the coming generation.

After running off from their society, Prometheus (Liberty) and Gaea (Equality) discovers a house on the top of a mountain. With astonishment, they find the house small, colorful with windows, mirrors, bedrooms, clothes kept in closets, and a small library in it. Since they have never witnessed any such thing, they found it strange but at the same time they didn’t want to share these things with anyone else. The society from which they ran away was a communist one where the things which eased the life was under prohibition. They were not allowed to have friends or relationships with one another. Their lives were short and miserable resulting in grief and sadness. The use of technology was minimum, and education was a tool of brainwashing.

Ayn Rand wrote this novel to focus on the ills of the Second World War and against the Soviet Union communism. According to Rand, when an individual focus too much on society he forgets about his own personal life. This novel gives an insight to the ills of Industrial Revolution which valued more on state and erased the values of human rights.

PLEASE HELPPP!!
Ne4ueva [31]
Hey there!

Well, a compound noun is a noun but with two words combined.

Clap - This is just one word, and it is a verb not a noun.

Homework - This is two words, (the word "home" and work") and it is a thing meaning it is a noun. This should be correct.

Lazy - This is an adjective because it is describing someone and it is also just one word.

The correct answer to your question is option B) Homework.
"Homework" is the compound noun.

Hope this helps you.
