When ten or more pre-synaptic neurons conduct impulses to five or fewer post-synaptic neurons, the conduction pattern is said to be convergent.

A neuron in such a network can take information from numerous other neurons through convergence. Inhibitory interneurons are activated by presynaptic cells, but instead they reduce nearby cells inside the network.

Synaptic divergence refers to the dispersion of synapses from such a single neuron onto several postsynaptic partners as well as partner kinds, while synaptic convergence refers to being affected by having neuronal cell kinds delivering input around on a shared postsynaptic partner.

Multiple presynaptic cells send convergent information to a single postsynaptic neuron.

What is meiosis and mitosis simple definition?
Temka [501]

Mitosis is a type of cell division for somatic cells and for the asexual reproduction of unicellular eukaryotic cells.

Meiosis is the type of cell division for the production of gametes in sexual reproduction . Meiosis is the process through which egg and sperm cells are formed. Mitosis is a necessary step for life.

A cell copies all of its components, including its chromosomes, and separates to generate two identical daughter cells during mitosis.

Meiosis is a form of cell division that occurs in sexually reproducing organisms and results in a reduction in the number of chromosomes in gametes (the sex cells, or egg and sperm).

Mitosis is the division of a single cell into two identical daughter cells (cell division).

Mitosis is a kind of cell division that occurs in somatic cells as well as in unicellular eukaryotic cells during asexual reproduction. Meiosis is a sort of cell division that occurs during sexual reproduction to produce gametes.

Describe a plant organism who went through asexual reproduction (with spores) and how it grows up. Make sure it is in 1st person
g100num [7]

Reproduction in plants can be by vegetative propagation, through the vegetative propagules like the rhizomes or tubers, asexual reproduction by the production of spores and sexual reproduction by the formation of the male and female gametes.

Spores are the agents of asexual reproduction in plants. They are formed in the non-seed-bearing plants like the liverworts, hornworts, mosses and ferns. The ferns are the group of vascular plants that reproduce by spores. The leaves of the ferns (fronds) contain numerous sporangia which produce tiny spores. When the sporangia breaks open, the spores are released and dispersed by the wind. On encountering favourable conditions of the environment, these spores grow into tiny plants called the gametophytes.

An efferent nerve fiber (or motor fiber) is one that carries information from the central nervous system.
