The binding curve for neuroglobin most likely resembles that of myoglobin.

Neuroglobin belongs to the family of globin in vertebrates. It is a monomeric unit that has higher affinity for oxygen than the hemoglobin. During hypoxia, it can increase the supply of oxygen to the brain. It is also known to play role in ROS and nitrogen scavenging.

Myoglobin is a protein present in the skeletal and cardiac muscles. It is also involved in supply of oxygen. Myoglobin can store the oxygen molecules as well. It possess a heme prosthetic group. Excessive myoglobin is known to be toxic to kidneys and cause kidney failure.
