The sampling techniques that allow generalizing from a sample to a population of interest are Simple random sampling, Stratified sampling, Proportionate sampling, Cluster sampling and Multistage sampling. On the other hand sampling techniques that do not allow generalizing from a sample to a population of interest are Convenience sampling, Purposive sampling and Snowball sampling.

Sampling techniques are used in research surveys. Broadly these sampling techniques are divided into two types, viz, Probability sampling and Non- Probability sampling. Random selection is a key component of probability sampling, which enables you to draw robust statistical conclusions about the entire group. Non-probability sampling entails non-random selection based on practicality or other factors, making it simple to gather data.

How will an object at rest be affected if multiple forces working on it are opposed but unbalanced?.
rodikova [14]

The position of object at rest will be affected when it will come under the influence of opposed unbalanced forces and its motion will be either created, stopped, or changed.

An unbalanced force is used to refer to the force that acts on an object if the sum of all forces acting on it is non-zero. Thus, net force acting on the object will cause its motion in either direction. Newton's First Law of Motion states that an object at rest will continue to remain at rest unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force. Due to force Imbalance, following changes occur:

  • It causes motion of a stationary object due to net force acting on it.
  • May stop the moving object
  • Changes the speed of a moving object.
  • Changes the direction of movement of the object (there is an acceleration due to the direction change).
