Here is your answer :)

The Catholic Church was the only thing that unified the region. The Roman Empire divided Europe into many different cultures, but the Catholic Church helped unite them all under one religion. Europe had always been Christian, but the Roman Empire forced new beliefs on the people.

8. What is the relationship between imports and exports in a mercantilist economic system?
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

Hiya there!

Explanation:

The relationship between imports and exports in a mercantilist economic system is that one superpower dominates the imports and exports of another country. To further explain this, here is an example: when the British still held control over the American colonies they only let the colonies import from Great Britain and export to Great Britain, so that Britain was the only country to gain from this while the other European superpowers and the colonies were halted from making economic gains.

What is the primary difference between the principles of capitalism and socialism
SashulF [63]
Capitalism: is an economic system in which the factors of production are privately owned and money is invested in business ventures to make a profit.
(Basically Capitalism referred to people who believed that the government should not interfere with businesses)

Socialism: the factors of production are owned by the public and operate for the welfare of all.

The main difference between the two was that in capitalism, business owners wanted to run everything themselves. They didn't want help from the government at all. Socialism was when the people wanted "some government" involved within the businesses. In summary, the main difference is the amount of government that was allowed to take over in a business.

Why was the territory of texas annexed by the united states?
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

His official motivation was to outmaneuver suspected diplomatic efforts by the British government for emancipation of slaves in Texas, which would undermine slavery in the United States. Through secret negotiations with the Houston administration, Tyler secured a treaty of annexation in April 1844.
