It is a story of a nobleman who has been threatened by the curse on his family as well as his newly inherited estate, then the detective Sherlock Holmes gets hired to intervene/investigate the things and suspects.

It is also believed to be one of the best novels of Sherlock Holmes written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It is so because, one can get a lot of detailed information of suspects in a short burst of dialogue. As the dialogues in the passage gives ample amount of information about the characters.
