While federal fair housing laws apply to residential real estate transactions, state and local laws may apply to all real property transactions.

Religious discrimination in housing is forbidden by the Fair Housing Act. This restriction covers overt examples of targeting followers of a specific religion as well as less overt ones such as zoning laws that restrict the use of private residences as places of worship.

Employers are prohibited by federal law from treating employees unfairly based on their race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, or disability.

Each county, town, municipality, city, township, and village has its own set of local laws. A lot of places have their own courts and regulations to deal with things like rental rules, zoning, and local safety protocols.

State and local laws take a back seat to federal legislation. Local laws take a back seat to state legislation.

Do students experience more sleep deprivation than others (non students)?
lesya692 [45]
Yes, students do experience more sleep deprivation than other non students because most students stay up late at night studying for pop quiz's, exams, etc. They're probably staying up doing homework, projects, make-up work, etc. They might also be stressed out which will cause most of them to be awake at night thinking about what they are stressed out about. While other non students don't have to really worry as much as these things because they aren't in school anymore.
