According to Jefferson, which of these is against god’s plan is punishing people for what they believe.

Jefferson is best recognized for his position in writing the Declaration of Independence, his overseas service, his terms as president, and his omnipresent face on the cutting-edge nickel.

Despite operating tirelessly to set up a new nation founded upon concepts of freedom and egalitarianism, Jefferson owned over 600 enslaved human beings for the duration of his lifetime, the maximum of any U.S. president.

Jefferson did purchase and promote human beings. He purchased slaves now and again, due to exertions desires or to unite spouses. Despite his expressed "scruples" against promoting slaves except "for delinquency, or on their personal request," he sold extra than one hundred ten in his lifetime, especially for economic motives.

In a few sentences, describe where the power lies in a democracy.
Solnce55 [7]

There are many theories to power, be they liberal, socialist or otherwise. Many have been developed over centuries of thought, which pick apart the very nature of our society and world order. But of all the theories that I’ve come across, one sticks out more than any other, and it is the reason I hold such strong free-market/anti-state views. It’s called Public Choice theory, but don’t ask me why, because it seems to explain why any one but ’the public’ makes choices today.

Public Choice theory is modern, having only really taken off during the 1960’s, but I believe it grants a very realistic and worrying view of Britain’s power structure, and exposes many very deep scars which socialism and Keynesianism unintentionally inflicted on our country. It was heavily developed by the US economist James Buchanan, who won the 1986 Nobel Memorial Prize for his work, and who advised Margaret Thatcher through the Institute for Economic Affairs during the late 1970′s.

Just like capitalism, Public Choice theory is based on two simple assumptions about human nature. Firstly, that humans are principally self-interested. That’s not to say we’re selfish, which is somewhat more immoral, but rather that we will always aim to fulfil our wants and desires, economic or otherwise. Secondly, that humans are rational; when presented with a series of options, we will select whichever makes us the most happy for the least cost. Rational Choice theory, as it is called, has come under substantial intellectual attack in the past, and I don’t personally believe that all humans act completely rationally all the time, but as a model for human behaviour, I’d say it provides a pretty good analysis.

What is the war that made america?
inessss [21]

Answer:

The War that Made America is a PBS miniseries (produced by WQED Pittsburgh) about the French and Indian War, which was first aired in two parts on January 18 and 25, 2006. The series features extensive reenactments of historical events, with on-screen narration provided by Canadian actor Graham Greene. Much of the story focuses upon George Washington, connecting his role in the war with the later American Revolution. Pontiac's War, which followed the French and Indian War, is also covered in the series. The series was filmed in June, July, and August 2004 in and around the Western Pennsylvania region where many events actually took place during the war.

The book that accompanies the series is The War that Made America: A Short History of the French and Indian War (2005), by historian Fred Anderson.

Besides Washington, historical people portrayed prominently in the film include:

Tanacharison ("Half King")

Sir William Johnson

Edward Braddock

James Smith

Louis-Joseph de Montcalm

Theyanoguin ("King Hendrick")

Mary Jemison
